Privacy Policy

Launch Soft solutions f.z llc operates Meld, a personal knowledge application. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use Meld.

Information you provide

We collect the information needed to create and secure your account, such as your email address, name, verification details, and sign-in provider identifier. We also process the notes, text, links, files, recordings, messages, preferences, and other material you choose to capture or create in Meld.

If you contact support, we receive the details you include in that message. If you connect an optional third-party service, we process only the information and permissions needed for the feature you authorize.

Information collected when you use Meld

We generate session, device, workspace, feature-usage, billing-entitlement, and security records so that Meld can authenticate you, protect accounts, operate quotas, troubleshoot failures, and provide the service. The web experience may use local storage and an offline queue to preserve actions you explicitly make while temporarily disconnected.

How we use information

• Provide capture, storage, search, organization, knowledge-graph, chat, and account features.
• Run background processing that converts captures into searchable Markdown, embeddings, entities, connections, and other requested results.
• Send verification, password-reset, account, and support messages.
• Protect the service, prevent abuse, enforce workspace permissions, investigate incidents, and recover from failures.
• Measure reliability and usage, operate plans and billing when enabled, and comply with law.

AI processing

Selected content is sent to the configured AI providers when you use features that require language, vision, audio, summarization, or embedding processing. AI results can be incomplete or incorrect, so review important outputs. Meld’s workspace and search controls are designed to keep content scoped to the authorized workspace.

Service providers

Meld uses specialized providers to operate the service: Convex for authentication, database, file storage, and server functions; Vercel for web hosting; Groq for selected language, vision, and audio processing; Voyage AI for search embeddings; Gemini for selected public-YouTube summarization; and Resend for transactional email. Stripe may process web subscription payments when billing is enabled. Future mobile purchases may involve Apple, Google, or RevenueCat under their own terms. These providers receive only the information needed for the relevant operation and process it under their applicable agreements.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not disclose private workspace content to other Meld users. We may disclose information to the providers above, to comply with law or a valid legal process, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer where appropriate safeguards apply.

Retention and deletion

Your account content is retained while your account is active so Meld can provide the service. You can export your data and request permanent account deletion from Preferences. Deletion revokes sessions, devices, and integrations, then removes the personal workspace, notes, files, embeddings, conversations, and related records through a bounded erasure process. Operational security events may be retained for up to 90 days, and regenerable embedding-cache records for up to 30 days, subject to legal, security, backup, or dispute-related needs.

Your choices

You can review or edit account information, manage AI Memory, export your data, revoke sessions, and delete your account in Meld. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, or to ask questions about this policy.

Security

We use authentication, workspace authorization, access controls, encrypted transport, and provider safeguards intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so do not capture information you are not permitted to store or share.

Children

Meld is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Meld changes. We will post the current version at this URL and update the effective date above.
